We collect the minimum information needed to provide AskMe: your account details (such as email and display name), preferences you set during onboarding, and the conversations and memories you choose to save inside the app. We may also collect basic technical data like device type and language to keep the experience working smoothly.
How We Use Information
Your information is used to personalize your experience, remember context across sessions, improve the quality of responses, and keep your account secure. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your private conversations to advertise to you.
Data Storage
Account data, preferences, and saved memories are stored securely in our managed cloud backend. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
Third-Party Services
AskMe relies on a small number of trusted providers to operate: authentication and database hosting, AI model providers for generating responses, and Stripe for subscription payments. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function and are bound by their own privacy and security commitments.
User Control
You stay in control of your data. From inside the app you can update your profile, clear saved memories, change your preferences, or delete your account entirely. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our active systems.
Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections, scoped access rules on the database, and secure handling of payment information through Stripe. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to keep AskMe safe.
Children's Privacy
AskMe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
